Chandrika Amarachinta is an independent college counselor based in Dublin, California. Over the last 20 years, Chandrika has taught at various community colleges in the Bay Area. She holds an M.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Her journey into college counseling began while assisting her children through the college admissions. This experience inspired her to pursue a Certificate in College Counseling from UC San Diego Extension and the Counselor Training Program by College Essay Guy.
​Chandrika empathizes with the stress and uncertainty around the high-stakes nature of college applications. She believes that a fulfilling college experience begins with choosing the right college, and she is passionate about assisting students in discovering a university that resonates with their aspirations.
On the side, Chandrika volunteers as a college admissions coach at ScholarMatch, a nonprofit organization (CBO) that helps first-generation, low-income students with their college applications.
Chandrika is an affiliate of the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).
